Statement of Authorship
All content on iEmily.com is originally written. The vast majority of the content was written in 2000 when the website was first published. The authors during this time were a team of highly credentialed physicians and editors. After a period of dormancy, the site was revived in 2008, and some content was updated under physician supervision.
The current editor and author is Margaret Jack, a History and Science concentrator at Harvard College in the class of 2009. She is a pre-medical student who has had previous research experiences in public health and the combination of health education and technology.

Apovian, MD
Dr. Apovian is the Director of the Nutrition and Weight Management
Center, Co-director of the Nutrition Support Service, and Associate
Professor of Medicine at Boston University School of Medicine. She
has spoken nationally on weight control, eating disorders, and nutrition
support, and teaches courses on general nutrition, nutrition for the
critically ill, and eating disorders at Boston University and Harvard
Medical School. She received her medical training at the University
of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey.

Apovian, MD
Susan Cohen, MD
As a board-certified pediatrician, Dr. Cohen has had extensive experience
treating young girls and teens. She received her medical training
at the University of Massachusetts Medical School in Worcester, Massachusetts.
Patricia Potter, MD
Dr. Potter is a child and adolescent psychiatrist and a psychoanalyst in Cambridge, Massachusetts. She is on the faculty of Harvard Medical School, supervising medical students and residents at McLean Hospital.
Dr. Potter also teaches in an advanced training program at the Boston Psychoanalytic Society and Institute. She received her medical training at Tufts University School of Medicine.
Deborah Scott, MD
Currently practicing dermatology in the Boston area, Dr. Scott is
board-certified in dermatology and internal medicine. She graduated from Princeton University and received her MD from Howard
University and her training in dermatology at Brown University.
Carol Weston
Ms. Weston's seven books include Private and Personal, Girltalk: All the
Stuff Your Sister Never Told You, and For Girls Only. She has a B.A. from Yale,
an M.A. from Middlebury College, and is a columnist at Girls' Life magazine. She is also a familiar
guest on radio and television programs.
